Frozen tilappia

last week ichthyo lab want us to identify the fish.........

we cook and remove all the muscle of the fish and then separate the bone so that we can identify each of it

before we start, the wind blow away our bone and mix up all of it we cant arrange it again...

so we decide to ask from the hatchery to get another 1...

today i go hatchery and ask from 2 master students from India

they are very nice though they are busy still helping to catch the fish...

after i get the fish....the problem come....

how i gonna kill this fish without hurting it to avoid damage the bone structure...

put under the sun?

cook it ?

both also will make it suffer ...

so i put it into my refrigerator ......ALIVE...

why?.....

coz when the situation is cold......we will start feel sleepy and sleep until death...(for human)

so i think it might be work also on fish...

before that i have an idea how to kill this fish.....



but i know if i do this wei khang and sze hoon will kill me......

New invention in microbiology field

In the microbiology field, a new medium for culture bacteria was introduced to replace the traditional medium

the agar medium which are commercial use by nowadays was eliminate through the selection of the public

to attract the interest of the user, it had been make into different kind of design and different kind of colour using are using

as a selective culture medium,the colour represent different kind of nutrient which can stimulate the growth of different bacteria. this mean that in one medium can culture 2 or more spesies of bacteria according to the color of the medium.


different with the agar medium, it mainly use yellow nutrient rich filament to supply food to the bacteria

if the yellow filament started turn into black colour its mean that area have high density of nutrient and the nutrient was already used up.

unlike the agar medium, this culture medium was reusable

to disinfect the medium, you just have to put into washing machine and pour 5 liter of water and 5 ml of Dynamo

after that dry it under the sun for 3 hours.

the filament will regenerate the nutrient for the bacteria and turn from black to yellow cplour after the drying process.

the handle is also provide for easy to carry from one place to another...








this is the one example of the new bacteria culture medium

Priapuloidea

Priapuloidea are cylindrical worm-like animals, with a median anterior mouth quite devoid of any armature or tentacles. The body is ringed, and often has circles of spines, which are continued into the slightly protrusible pharynx. The alimentary canal is straight, the anus terminal, though in Priapulus one or two hollow ventral diverticula of the body-wall stretch out behind it. The nervous system, composed of a ring and a ventral cord, retains its primitive connection with the ectoderm.

There are no specialized sense organs or vascular or respiratory systems (hemerythrin is the protein responsible for oxygen transportation). There is a wide body-cavity, but as this has no connection with the renal or reproductive organs it cannot be regarded as a coelom, but probably is a blood-space or hemocoel.

The Priapuloidea are hermaphroditic, and their male and female organs, which are one with the excretory organs, consist of a pair of branching tufts, each of which opens to the exterior on one side of the anus.

The tips of these tufts enclose a flame-cell similar to those found in flatworms and other animals, and these probably function as excretory organs. As the animals become adult, diverticula arise on the tubes of these organs, which develop either spermatozoa or ova. These pass out through the ducts.
